Food, diet & gut health
Research into autism and gut health is continuing, but gut protocols are not established treatments for autism. Reasonable everyday steps include balanced, fibre-rich foods, adequate fluids and fermented or probiotic foods when tolerated. Deworming should follow a doctor’s or public-health schedule. Persistent constipation, diarrhoea, pain, reflux or poor growth warrants medical assessment.
Safety note: This summarises community experience for general awareness and is not medical advice. Every child is different. Confirm diet, testing, supplements, medication and treatment decisions with your child’s doctor or a suitably qualified professional. Never stop prescribed medication without the prescribing doctor.
