How can I prepare my child for a loose tooth falling out?

Asked by AutDHD Editorial

Behaviour & safety

Prepare in advance with a short visual sequence or calm video. Mute alarming audio and narrate slowly using simple, predictable language: the tooth wiggles, it may fall, there may be a little blood, and the child will be safe. Practise with a doll, offer a preferred comfort item and keep adult reactions calm.

Confirm diet, testing, supplements, medication and treatment decisions with your child’s doctor or a suitably qualified professional. Never stop prescribed medication without the prescribing doctor.
