How should parents document and escalate school discrimination?

Asked by AutDHD Editorial

School, rights & government support

Prepare an individual written representation naming the school and requested resolution. Keep the disability certificate where applicable, relevant medical or support notes, the application, and written evidence of rejection such as email or messages. Submit two copies to the appropriate authority; retain one with an inward stamp or acknowledgement number.

Individual evidence should usually come first. A collective follow-up can describe a wider pattern. Protect children’s privacy and obtain legal guidance for the correct local authority and procedure.
